Yesterday we had to go to the big city, which is south of us. We were surprised to see dandelions in several places! We usually don't see them here until about May 1. But I predict we'll see some next week when they forecast 3 or 4 days above 70 degrees. Flowers are beginning to show in several places too. A touch of green in lawns. No fieldwork though save for 1 guy.

Robin's have been around here for several weeks now and got their tail feathers white a few times, I have mowed once and it's due again but I just started the stove back up for the overnight of 35 after a few days of warm. 50s and 60s through the day and 30s at night until about Tuesday then 70s.

We have birds that already have their babies around here. I think it's a chickadee (maybe wrong species) that nests in the pole that holds my carport up. It has babies I hear , now , as of this week.

Last weekend my wife and I were sitting in the hot tub at night and heard the loons for the first time. The waterfowl variety, not the seasonal homeowners.

Same here! Yard should be almost half cleared by this weekend....c'mon rain!

We're at about 80% coverage in the yard now.

Early spring here, we're greening up and have dandelions. The barn swallows showed up a bit early, and I've been hearing Meadowlarks (my favorite).

I heard the peepers last night. That is the sign to switch over snow tires cause spring is here.
