My snow banks haven't receded enough for bullet salvage yet. Soon as I get over this flu I have 2 new rifles to head to the range with tho.
This one is a 375 Ruger Guide Gun that was a very happy surprise. A guy in Texas just had to have my 9.3×64.

We had a very nice day today reaching around 18c/64f. We are about 4c/39f now. Due to the mountains being a snow balls throw away from my house, when our sun goes down we cool off quick. I couldnt resist making a fire tonight considering most of my family is sick with chills and I had a stressful work call at 9 pm tonight that made me retreat to my happy place.... my wood stove room that is pumping out btus! :coldfire::thumbs:. Its amazing the snow melt in my yard! I still have some but its hard for snow to survive when it gets warm out. Doug fir in the stove right now keeping me and the husky happy.

We had a fire yesterday for a little while but not today. Supposed to be a bit warmer today but cooler tomorrow and Saturday before it warms up nicely. Fire tomorrow and Saturday, at least in the morning.

Supposed to hit 60 again today and it is sunny out there. Still started a small fire to take the chill off this morning. Will just let it go out though and probably do the same tomorrow.

Sitting at 9 C or 48 F already. Wind is still unrelenting, seeming to vary between 10 and 30 mph depending on the time or day. Too lazy for a fire last night, but maybe tonight I'll give it a go.

50s today with a strong wind, but it seems to have died back the last few hours. Even weak sun is good when it's high and long lasting like it is now - the 530am load of pine still has the boiler at 181.

Topped up with some very dead and dry red maple from a recent score and more pine. We're on the down slope now, no complaints here!

Threat of rain here. Had a very short and light shower but not a problem. It is cooler and they say cooler again tomorrow with the highs in the 40's but next week is really looking great!

Never got any snow last night as they had forecasted.

Had very little rain this afternoon also. Some, but not much. Just feels cold out there now. It'll be in the teens tonight.

It's almost surreal the weather we've been having (which is above normal daytime, slightly below normal for nights mostly) around here. I know winter hung on an extra 4?-5? weeks, but wow. April 13th it was -20 C at night, yesterday was almost +20 C in the day.

I looked back on weather data, and we beat out April 2013/2014 for cold, as long as the world still exists in 3 days, we'll have beat out 2002 for cold, and probably beat out 1997 for cold too. So even though the temps warmed up, there was still a lot of heating off the starting line. Glad winter is done. I think.:D

I lit a fire in the stove tonight after work. 45° and windy with a low in the mid 30's tonight warranted a fire.

Nice in here now. Burning elm and an ugly chunk of honey locust.

Burned 4 pieces in my insert last night woke up to these temps, going to work for a few hours today and probably build a fire in my stove in what we call the big room room when I get home, it’s a little chilly in there.

Beautiful day yesterday in the mid 60's, no fire last night. Cool out now with drizzle and 44, 30 overnight so I will probably start a fire at some point. Natural gas boiler set at 70 kicked on about 7 this morning.
