.......with 275 gallons of uglies. DSCN9512.JPG

I've been wanting to make another "box" for the small cut off's and junk from splitting, they accumulate fast. My cousin called the other day and asked if I wanted an old 275g tank, I knew just what to do with it. I had enough "junk" around for this little wood dumpster.:D

Pop a couple pieces out, test the moisture and see if you can get some kind of kiln effect with it... should heat up nicely in a sunny location....

You could tip one of these puppies on it's side, 8043790100_32c3114369_b.jpg and have a pretty nice woodshed.

Yeah that's recycling. Add a little axle and you'd have a nice trailer for an ATV. A little cutting & add a 3 point hitch rigged up for the back of a tractor.............
I'm full of cheap ideas:whistle: It seems the older tanks are tough enough to cut up (some) and retain their strength. This one was all 1/8" wall thickness.

Leave a little oil in there and those uglies would be some dang good fire starter chunks! :D

Great idea, might have to steal borrow this idea for later. Makes perfect sense to have a bin like that that’ll gets well used in practical ways!

I haven't called the oil man in a good 5/6 years. It's great.

We used a 1/4 tank last year and less than a 1/4 this year. What a great feeling!!:dex:

    Great use for it.

The last time I bought fuel oil was in 1978.

I think the last time I ordered oil was 2007...and still have 400 gallons or so too! Need to get some of that used up so I can consolidate to 1 tank instead if 2...make a lil more room in the storage room.
