Two days home from work and I staggered back to join the "team" only to pass the illness torch to the next guy. Still hacking away in an unladylike fashion but on the mend. Stable enough perhaps to go "wining". Thanks for asking I thought at one point the mailman would find me days later....keep the home fires burning....rock on!
Ok....@dall and eatonpcat and company I guess I haven't wasted too much time on the "city boy"....just enough to realize I should have run. Not going to work out. I can't be expected to do all the work nor will I. With spring on the way I throw myself into outdoor projects and keep an eye open for better possibilities. Ever the optimist. Ever the available girl.
Dear Casper .....I'm going to be able to take that class tomorrow!! Above all else I am going to promote FHC in a big way...who knows the other 15 girls there may be looking for men too! I'll report back with the results.....thanks!
Have a good day at school. Be nice to the other kids. Don't forget your lunch money. Pay attention to the teacher. (Just might be single!)
Ok I went. LOL. There are women wanting to be able to use a chainsaw for lesser activities than hoarding. Many were amazed I heated exclusively with wood I processed. Many spoke of branches down or a limb on a fence that needed attention. This class stressed safety. If the instructor picked up those chaps one more time I was going to toss the nicely chopped and presented fruit salad at him. He had all the equipment and didn't hesitate to use it. (Married) Things got off track when the discussion turned to notching and taking down a big one. These women didn't know how to start the saw for gollys sake. He got too technical with chain selection and sharpening and examining the air filter. Everyone would have preferred "in the woods" training (but I'm not sure where the refreshment table would have been set up) Now.....for the good stuff....I handed out FHC website info to most and I made network connections with 3 gals who own property and said COME ON OVER AND CUT! Legitimate authorized I'd-like-to-be-friends invitations. Not a bad morning. Had it been warm and sunny I would not have gone. Glad I did. And the snacks were great (Did I mention that?) I went directly to my mom's and cut up a tree I was so pumped. Here is a pic
And here I thought playing Santa Claus at area rest homes was a good way to meet single women! Is there gonna be a follow up to this class??????
There was an evaluation of the class and instructor at the end. I'm so done with corporate and committee crap. My time was better spent networking for wood. The one woman (my new best friend) said her husband would drag it out of the woods with the tractor so I could better get at it....girlfriend....You talk my language!
