I bought a masterbuilt electric smoker for my Husband for our anniversary. (A little early, the anniversary is May 11) it was a good deal so I bought it. Also picked up some apple and hickory wood chips and some pork ribs for him to try it out. I bought it for him but I am going to get the benefits!
We have never used a smoker before so this will be interesting. Since I do not cook (nothing edible anyway) he will be happy with this...I hope! :)

A friend from work bought the same one. He loves it and uses it all the time. Good job picking the gift that keeps giving.

    A smoker makes everything edible.

I saw some white oak whiskey barrel chunks for sale the other day on the net. I need to compare the price of half barrels sold at greenhouses this spring versus the 20 lb box with shipping.

He hasn't even seen it yet, I can't fire it up before I give it to him! Besides...I can't cook! Really, really can't cook! :)

Pre season it for him so he can use it as soon as you give it to him. Give it to him brand new and you might have to wait a couple days for good smoked food.

Gave it to him tonight...I just cut the box off and put it in the garage with the bags of wood chips. He freaked when he got home from work! It's so fun to give someone something when they are totally not expecting it. I could have saved it for our anniversary but then it's not such a surprise. Plus where would I hide that thing?!?!
