    Got on a small root beer tree this afternoon. Will probably use this for kindling and/or shoulder season. Love to smell this stuff and it burns pretty good to!

    Nice. I cut down a couple about that size from my SIL'S two yrs ago. They've been good wood to burn for the past several days. When seasoned, they are very light for their size.

    Most of them don't grow very large here but I love cutting them.

    Biggest I've seen here is probably 25" or so. They are a pretty rot tolerant wood for the most part I've noticed

    Most times here the woodpeckers will get to them first so they don't grow to that size here. Also they never grow straight here. Very crooked tree.

    I have a bunch that the woodpeckers have made look like Swiss cheese.... :doh:

    I've never seen sassafras bigger than 6" or so around here. That's a monster in my book. IfI love to have some that big just to admire. Enjoy the fragrance!
