Crap weather day here. Been some form of water falling from the sky all day...at list its been in liquid form. 2 ball games got rained out.

Not sure what I'm going to do this evening, but I'm sure it will involve some shop time and an adult beverage.

That sounds like a really nice day. Finally we have weather that makes this possible.

Mom's boyfriend is critter sitting for a buddy.....nice critters. Guy has 5 Gmt800s.....rusty plow truck, rusty daily driver, rusty as well as incomplete junkpile with a few good parts left, a frame and bed in good shape, was a crew cab long box, he intends to shorten to a regular cab, and a blue extra cab shortbed 1500 in the garage which is in decent shape thanks to some bodywork. Also has a Toyota echo gas saver and a 1 of 400 mako shark corvette in the garage.....nice place he got though, you'd never think you were in town.

    I REALLY
    REALLY
    REALLY
want a new radio in my old Blazer. Then again I also want a lot of other stuff fixed on it too. But for now, as is, I want t a new radio.

I called every junkyard within a 200 mile radius when I lived in colorado, none. Not one. I ordered one off the internet and it died in less than a year (the channel needle stopped sliding back and forth).

TrinitySouth99 not sure you know where to get one? Let me know if you do please :)

I snapped a pic and its downloading to my email so I can post it here soon.

04 explorer is pretty much the same as that f150 radio. The installation is the same, the connections are the same in back. The surround may be a tad different though.

It's because it was painted by GM.

That doesn't explain the undercarriage though.;)

It's super easy to install a stereo in all but the newest cars. Your full size blazer would be a snap. But then you'll find that your speakers need an upgrade. Easy on that too.

If you don't want a stock stereo I think I've got a JVC DIN stereo you could have. No tuner "bar" to fail. Lol. But you'd need a mount, and wire harness. Easy to do, harder to explain it.;)

Forgive the condition of this truck, the rubber seals on the windows are shot and the 90mph winds up here blow dust in like I left the windows open.

Awesome!! Ummm, there's wires hanging down from more than one radio over the last 25 years by a non electrical person

I like AM radio shows. Seems like everything these days only has FM and wants wifi or whatever and I don't have it.

Are you Kidding Pallet Pete ?!?! No, not stock, like the 3rd replacement, but the stock one worked great for soooo many years.

Pfft no not kidding!  Mine where hard as heck to come by so I kept stock radios from the 79 Sierra grande, 83 s10, 86 k15 and 85 sport s10.

I love the old square body straight axles... I also kept the old radios out of the flipped vehicles. There’s a tote somewhere in my junk pile.

Also have some newer style digital detachable and non detachable stereos laying around.

I'm not going through the wiring fun you did on your trailer lights.

I like the way to use "metra" or similar kits. I've wired up a couple cars before using the plug and plays and what a pita.

I'd rather pay $20 or so and know it will work when I plug it in.

Oh wildwest why do you have to be so far away!!! I could wire up a stereo in in 80 s vehicle in a half hour for 39 cents in electrical tape. I would charge you at least 2 cups of coffee;)..
