I have had mix for almost a year no problem. If I dump it it goes into the 1980 k10 chevy to burn up.
Yup, we all do what we all do. It's tough these days though to not have "crap gas" with it mixed with 10% ethanol. Auto mechanics and small engine mechs alike are pretty vocal about the damage this stuff does to internal fuel system parts over time. I've had good luck using fresh mix as much as I can. And, a swig of it first thing in the morning'll get ya going! No smoking tho…
I have no trouble fingding ethanol free 87 and 91 octane fuel. All I run it boats and saw, atv and such.
Wish I could. Only way here in Maine would be to buy gas at the local airport. 100LL is a little pricey tho…
Getting rid of old oil and such as old like 20 year old or more two stoke I find in the shed or some atf... goes into my diesel tank to burn in the tractor.
Getting rid of oil… you reminded me when we were selling our farm, I had to get rid of five 5 gallon buckets full of old motor oil that had been there for decades, long before we were living there. After running all over I finally found a company that burned used oil in their furnace. When I got there the guy helped me carry them in and even took care of the old buckets. I was very relieved to have that job done. Never heard of mixing it with diesel fuel. How's that work?
Is this any help? http://www.local.com/results/?keyword=no ethanol gas stations&location=Turner%20Maine&cid=17232
I dont use old used oil in it!! Y'all dont have places that take used oil or was this years ago? I can dump it at county collection sites.
Not sure about all those listed. Ethanol is sold at 10% mix at every gas station in Maine. As I said, I could go to a local airport and prolly a marina but it would be pricey. There has been a move in Maine to get rid of the stuff but… not yet.
Well I was told that but I was in Maine for a work trip and had no problem finding non E gas but that was a couple of years ago, I was there last fall and not sure but I think there was non E gas in at least one of the stations I bought gas in. That list should be good.
Some people think you can not buy non ethanol gas any where in the US, not sure how that got started.
Pretty far ! Also depends on if I have an extra saw , or chain ,and whether or not it's the start or end of the cutting session . I've also been known to turn the air varying shades of blue with the creative use of Anglo-Saxon blessings .
Yeah, something about 80-90 % of warrantees were gonna be no good if they went to 15%. Go figure. Maine voted that in but only if the next 2 states did too. They didn't.
