I was a bit saddened today...not many realize the significance of April 19 apparently. I reminded them! I have officially added the Minute Man National Historic Park to my bucket list. They have been celebrating all week. Would be very cool to go see a mock battle or early morning 21 gun salute.
Good for you! The younger generation has no clue what happened and how we got our freedom. Here's my t shirt, aqt target, and rifleman patch that this target earned me at a patriots day appleseed shoot. It was my first appleseed btw. I was so moved by the history (and marksmanship) taught that day, that I immediately joined as a volunteer for appleseed to help spread the story of April 19th 1775.
Awesome! I have flirted with completing the Apple Seed shoot. Have not got it done yet. Speaking of which...if you have not seen this, you'll want to watch...or listen at least. Very moving!
I'm working on hosting one of these at my place. Hopefully next year will work with the local group's schedule.
