Says were 44 going to 36 tonight. I am burning small oak rounds I have like 2 to 4" diameter branches that I have a few arm loads full of on the part of the pile I have worked down too.

Will reload for the night and let it go over night to keep the house warm

Elm or pine during the day, and locust or beech with elm at night. It's not cold really, but I'm used to the 80 degree days. It's 29° out now.

Mornig low was +8°F . Daytime high was around 50 . down to mid low 20 atm.
Wife built a fire in the stove this morning. But I let the Toyo keep the house bearable over night.
It wasn't full dark until near 10:15 this evening.

1974 it's cutting monster. It's the one you seen the big loggers use many years ago lol it's a classic and it can out perform most new saws .. It's running .404 chain full skip it also has that magnesium case. It's a Stihl Intimidator. lol

I used to bushel with 2100s and a 2101. Ran a couple 480s and a 285 a long time ago. But your saw outdates those. Really cool. And your cutting oak with full skip 404 !!:salute::thumbs::saw:

Built in a time before chain brakes were even a thot in anyone's brain. .
Not that I'm in anyway opposed to chain brakes. But when I started running a saw in 73 . There wasn't any sucha thing.

They did have a chain brake on some 77s but I see them and there $$$$ it's like this if it don't have brake you just know not to try any questionable cuts. And keep chain super sharp it's pulling .030 chip so keeps the muscles tight lol. I have 8 tooth on it .

Sitting at 0 C or 31 F, -6 C and 22 F if you count the wind. Supposed to get smacked with a rain turning to snow storm starting as soon as 3 hours from now, and lasting upwards of 24 hours. Lets hope they predict storms as good as the weather.  More poplar uglies feeding the reactor.

My 77 was built in Sweden . Lot were made in Yugoslavia. So I don't know the quality of the Yugoslavia saws. I think there was a difference it might just be a rumor.
