My dad just recently got a handicap permit...has been eligible for one since 1971...but has never "acted" handicapped or disabled in any way. I've never known him any other way, and it always caught me off guard when people looked at him funny (missing half of left arm) because I never thought of him that way at all. He could and would do anything that anyone else could/would do. Heck he worked 12 hour days right up to almost 70 years old. And nothing would have changed then either except for getting hit broadside at 55 MPH, which rolled the F350 he and my BIL were in. Things have never quite been the same since then.
But back to what I was saying...dad has the handicap permit...and sometimes when I go to the doctor with him, we will stop somewhere to pick up a prescription on the way home. If he is driving he will park in the handicap spot, and then I jump out to go get his meds...I'm sure onlookers would scoff at me/us. Yes I should probably have told him to park further out...but we were talking and already in the spot by the time I thought about it...and...I learned along time ago that it doesn't pay to argue with the old man...he does pretty much as he wants! :salute:

Also, I think its so ironic that people will circle the parking lot trying to get in a spot that is 3 spaces closer to the store than the one that was open when they first pulled in...then go to the gym right after shopping! :picard:

Ohhhh, that made me so mad, people that park in a handicapped space because they are just in too much of a hurry or too important to be bothered with getting another spot. But the best part about being a police officer was having a ticket book. In down time, I hit a few business parking lots and looked for cars in the handicapped spots without any documentation i.e. designated plate or window hang tag. Then, I’d wait for the owner to come strolling out- and hand them a $250 ticket. And I didn’t feel bad about issuing it At All. Because it’s always somebody with an attitude.

But, you run the risk of people that don’t want to finish the walk to the cart corral, and just push their buggy towards it and let it go, where it might head right into your vehicle...:headbang:

Aldi's = No frill grocery store selling primarily non-name brand foods, and they don't bag your groceries, just run stuff over the scanner, into a different shopping cart, you pay and go

Take bags or boxes to contain your purchases.

I must be really lucky.....hasn't happened yet. If all these folks are right, all the carts are in parking spaces anyway.

As long as we're on the parking at Wally world people.....

What about the idiots that park and wait in their cars in the fire lane right along side the building?? "They're special!"

Yes, but also reduced prices due to no specific employees that go and wrangle carts, they don't provide bags - which cuts down on costs too, and they only have store brand stuff. All of these things add up to cost savings. There's some non grocery things too. I've seen small generators, RC cars, and such.

    Here's today's finds. 1523835024135-1937393977.jpg 1523835176715765208287.jpg

    Odd assortment, huh?

Just drive a crappy old beat up car, you will either never be hit by a shopping cart again or if you are you will either not notice or give chit.
