Welcome back Horkn. It ain't pretty around here but I know what you mean about the drop in temps. I remember one year leaving Waco, TX when it was 70 degrees. Landed in Saginaw, Mi and it was zero degrees. Then around here, we had 70 2 days ago. Temperature got to 35 yesterday and not that high today with rain changed to snow. Some areas are getting ice.

Power went out for over 8 hours. Hurt my back really bad trying to start the generator. Thank God for good neighbors. I'll be happy when we get the new generator in as it will be automatic to turn on when power goes out.

Yes Dennis, the auto start feature is AWESOME................ Ours is hooked up to our propane system and runs once a week for 10 minutes to keep it exercised. Only thing I have to do is change the oil in the motor. No screwing around with gasoline or diesel.
    Basically self sufficient.

Yeah, just got home. Landed in Milwaukee @3:30. Home by 5 pm, cleaned out ashes and have a fire going already.

If we would have taken a later flight, flights may have been delayed.

No ice or snow on my way home up the freeway either. I'll take lucky any day.

    Hi Hoarders,

My neighbor is evicting a tenant. Which might you suppose is less expensive, calling a locksmith to change the locks or just buy new door knobs and DIY it? There are 4 locking doors.

Darn!!!! Hoping your back heals quickly. WWW ended up with an automatic start generator, so glad you are getting one. He gets a kick out of starting from the remote control instead of going outside.

SO FAR............we've escaped all of the crap. They say 3" of snow this afternoon and sleet and freezing rain all night into tomorrow. Radar showing everything staying down by the border. Won't break my heart to miss it all. You folks getting hammered with the ice and freezing rain stay safe.

Hope it misses you altogether. Don't need that nasty freezing rain/ice slop!

Yesterday, 99 and I saw a Kubota (don't know the model, but I think like yours) and it had a front snowblower on it. I was looking at it without saying anything and she says something like---- you sure could use that to clear the snow at the cottage!

    (to be continued....?) ;)

But then again, she is telling me to just go and buy a cobra.....:picard:

Myself, would definitely just change them myself by buying new ones. Can't imagine what a locksmith may charge?

Yeah, since I have gotten the front blower you couldn't give me a back up blower ever again. On top of that, Kubota's new front mount system allows you install or take off the blower in about 2 minutes. I just got a new 60" power broom for the front. It has power angle and lift using the same front mount as the blower. I'm lovin' this tractor to death.
