I wear my welding gloves with cut off discs too you can never be to safe... I use them almost daily at work and they do explode from time to time. Welding gloves can take a punch from them.
Something else that’s nice is a leather bib. It’s nice to keep sparks and accidents down. I had 5 stitches in my hand and 3 in my arm a few years ago it also threw a chunk right through the side of my shirt due to a dewalt disc exploding literally the Instant I touched metal. Just a bad disc. The discs at work are high quality but I’m still cautious especially on big install jobs where we use a ton of discs. The grinder felt like it vibrated a little more than normal but I did t think much of it until after the disc separated.
Garage furnace is warming up the building and it’s pouring rain outside good day to wear a respirator! Color is going on today!

No it’s off now. Fumes are too strong for a furnace. Doors are cracked and it’s icing terribly already. I suspect we are in for a big ice storm again this year...
No snow it’s all Ice and wind. I just went next door and filled the propane tank for the generator..... It’s getting ugly and COLD outside fast...
