    Coffee pot is dead!:headbang: Percolator is my usual go to except I slept through the alarm. Getting harder to get out of bed lately.

    Do any of you have one of those fancy timer coffee pots? Do they work good?

    :eek::eek:

    I was given a Kureg as a Christmas gift a few years ago and never looked back at drip pots. Generally the cups cost me .40 or less each and are well worth it and since I dont drink beer anymore I dont have to worry about cutting into that fund

    We had a Kureg and I didn’t mind it except it would scale up a lot and had to be cleaned at least once a week or it wouldn’t work. ( granted our water sucked before we re plumbed..)

    Maybe that’s worth another shot. I like to grind fresh beans the most do they still sell the Kureg basket you can fill yourself?

    I too, have (and love) my Keurig. Yes, they still have the basket. I get the Columbian Keurig coffee at the local Ollie's and the 60 pack works out to $.30/cup.

    We like this one Pete - especially since the electronics are (above) the warming plate: less worry about damage/failure due to water / moisture intrusion.

    One here is going on 3+ years now.. we always use a micro-mesh plastic basket filter, vs. paper filters.

    since when did that matter as to what your paws put in your mouth? I don't know if it is just in my head or what, but I can't get started in the morning until I have some coffee in me. Those days I have to fast for lab test leave me dragging my butt until I get my fix of coffee. I also need a cup mid afternoon or I am falling asleep. The meds I take make it sleepy time way too much.

    Ah sleepy time meds, most make Bear want to take a nap so I don't fight the urge after it gets to lunch time. Most days afternoon means a nap, so I am a old geezer and take a geezer nap. My paws can find better things than coffee to place in my mouth, already done in a big bowl of ice cream getting ready for today's nap. The boss is doing the get ready for the SA fabric sale so I was left to my devices for lunch today.

    Bought this Mixpresso k-cup compatible last year and love it. A lot of the reviews are from former Keurig owners who said the Mixpresso has a higher temp for the water, doesn't die after a year and based on my experience with the Keurigs we have at work I agree. We seem to have to replace a few every year. I bought some refillable K-cups, buy the big cans of Chock-Full-of-Nuts when they're on sale.
