Yeah, pretty much the same here. Only a few days left of with from what I planned. Probably 5 cord, maybe a little less.

I'm in Florida now. 76° at night now. No need for a fire.

I am right on track for my usual 3 cord for the year not counting the uglies during shoulder season.

Best guess is 2.5-3 cords. Lots of shorts in my stacks. Need to contact Woodstock as I just don't feel that the cat is working much anymore.

The most HARSH, the coldest windiest winter I have ever been through was here winter 2013-2014. Snowdrifts in the back yard got to 15' high and did not melt until spring showed up here in mid May. And, of course that was my first winter here after 40+ years in the banana belt as a greenie native.

Others I remember are 82' , 97', and O M G 2003, still in Colorado but guessing those storms might have made it up your way too.

I was still in Cheyenne in 2013 and moved to Carpenter in Oct of 2014. I had a drift in front of the house that was close to 5ft.

    :hair:

We went through 8 cords that year between Oct and March (-37* below at one point) and had to buy more that spring (sold our previous home of 21 years and left a few cords behind). Disregard the baby gate and patio furniture used to prop up the temporary dog yard fence in 90mph gusts). We've since built a new yard out front so the dogs can't escape over the fenceline, just a few major revisions needed .

Almost 3 cord, it’ll be a full 3 once it’s over. Oh yeah almost forgot..... no propane was harmed during this heating season. :dex:

That’s impressive for that stove in Maine. You must have a tight house.

I'm thinking somewhere north of 8 cords. Maybe another 1/2 cord in the kicker stove when all is done.

I should measure and avoid the guesswork.

I'd say about 4 cords more or less, but we had a mild February, so we burned less than we normally do in that month.

4 -4.5 cords and never turned the heat on. Usually burn 3 cords. Post and beam home 4” foam in the roof and all the walls so i think that helps alot. Need some new windows but i plastic most of em.

I was just down exit 0 territory last week. First time ever spending much time in Cape May. I really enjoyed West Cape May. Some nice breweries down there as well.

I'm into about 4 cords for my first full season of burning, but also a lot of pallet wood thrown in there too typically for kindling or just because I can't pass up kiln dried oak or pine. Maybe a half face cord or so just in that stuff.

Trying hard to cut down, I've gotten further into "next year's" wood stash than I wanted to.

For the first time I really don't know how much we've burned this year. Mainly because when I had the medical problem a great bunch of guys brought a lot of wood to the house so my wife didn't have to work so much. They got it from different piles and I just don't remember how much were in those stacks. But, I'd say for sure we burned more than our normal 3 cord of wood. I'd give a SWAG and say maybe 4 cord but it is a long ways from being over. It definitely feels like January out there this morning and looks like it too. I was out for a short time and even with the carhartts on I was cold. Now I have to wait for the snow to get off the trees and brush before I do any cutting.
