Helped a neighbor a few houses down take down some trees and brought home 2 loads of wood, mostly black cherry and ash. I slacked last year so I have a lot of work to do this spring. Big fan of the Nissan so far. Does a much better job towing than the f150 did.
There is always an issue! It went pretty smoothly this time though-the trees even fell exactly where I told them to.
That is how I delimb-throw it all in the trailer, light it on fire, and only the bigger wood remains! There is an art to it though-drive too slow and it all goes up. Too fast and the fire won't stay lit. In all seriousness, it worked out pretty well-I dropped the trees and while I bucked them my neighbor and his son grabbed the limbs and burned them in their fire while I worked on the wood I wanted.
Agreed. There isn't much ash left there but there are several more easy access cherry trees in an area I can use the Kubota to load without fear of tearing up lawns.
