....and my collection of rounds is getting smaller. I’ve put in 3 splitting sessions on this load. 2 afternoons last weekend and some this evening. Quite a few larger rounds left to split. This is shaping up to be a pretty good load. I’ll probably have 4 yrs stacked up when I’m done.
Either that's huge pile-O-splits or one tiny tiny splitter. Now if I could get that much energy to get some wood cleaned up.
Might be a little of both going on there! Is it dry enough for you to start hoarding? Roads are still snowed in around here.
Tell us more about that splitter! What size motor, pump, cylinder? Did you buy it that way or is it a custom job?
Looks good.. though I would go nuts with the different species mixed up like that.. do you stack them mixed or seperate as you go? Im probably OCD but each species gets its own rack lmao...
Got a little snow yesterday and more tomorrow. I did get some maple Thursday. First load is on loaded trucks but still need to take pictures of the second half load. Sounds like I have a new Wood Fairy and may make a little cash as he does not have a bigger saw. My problem is I need to get off my butt to get work done here at the house.

Splitter is a Ramsplitter HV16 with an electric motor. 16 Ton They are a bit pricey but it was the only electric I could find. I went electric because I thought not having an irregularly used gas motor to maintain would be better. And the wood comes to me, so being restricted to suburban backyard usage is fine in my situation. Yes, its on the compact side, but that's good for putting it in the corner of the garage, garden tractor/ATV towable.
That is looking good Paul. I have no doubts that splitter does the job for you. And yes, small is nice when storing it.
And bigger. It’s beginning to look like a triaxle log load all busted up. Today I got about half of what was there this morning split. Bit misleading from last nights photo cause most of what I split was behind the rounds that are still there.

I would consider a Ramsplitter or a Swisher electric for my next splitter purchase. Nice looking work there Paul.
Yes. I split it where I stack. I be making a 6 row cube directly behind the pile. Then I’ll watch it dry for the next 3+ years.
