Came across a CL add. The saw was advertised as new, never used. Made a deal this morning. I didn't steal it, that's for sure. Didn't know when I'd get this chance again
WOW! Thats a shelf queen fur sure! Very nice, you probly had to give more than two weeks beer $ for it. Its worth it for a pre epa showroom condition very desirable saw.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. Once I make a cut it looses its virgin status, so to speak. For now she's Shelf Queen.
Those are great saws. Can't be too many left out there that have never been run so I can see if you aren't sure if you want to run it.
Funny you should say that! I was posting a couple Homelites on CL this afternoon, not even looking around for anything when an add caught my eye. So I picked up my second 346XP in as many days. And this one was a very good deal. He couldn't get it started, so it became an even better deal. Almost embarrassed to say. But he was setting the prices. I still can't get it to kick. I don't think I'm getting spark. I don't see any anyway with a plug I know is good. Crazy crazy!
There you go. Now you don't have to make your decision to run your new one. Keep it as your shelf queen and use the one you just got as your runner. That one you just picked up looks very low use. Congrats!
And here was the problem. It wasn't spark. I guess I need to look closer. I thought the gas I was smelling was a flooded cylinder because there no spark. When I got home today the garage smelled of gas. So I looked around a little harder and I pulled the cap which must have broken a vacuum because fuel started dripping on the clutch side. Ran up to the local Husqi shop for new fuel line and filter. Replaced it, gave it a bunch a pulls with no luck, went inside put food on the kids plates, wife came home with number 3 so I went back to pulling it over and it popped about 4 pulls in. Running now! Needs a sharp chain and probably a new bar, nose sprocket is noisy. It's a nice saw.
