For being such a supposed minority, there seems to be a lot of us over 6ft. When I said I'm "in the realm of normal" I meant I'm not freakishly tall. I know lots of guys who are between 6ft and 6'4".
Reviews on huskies aren't the greatest. Honda is more $ than I want to spend. I'm not familiar with Toro but their reviews seem ok. Same for Cub Cadet. My old mower has never given me a problem but I forgot to run the tank dry last fall, and the gas was really old to start with. If it starts up then a new mower will be a want rather than a need.

Ya know we are at that time of year when everyone is getting their mowers out and they won't start so they will put them out at the curb and go and buy a new one. I have never ever purchased a push mower both of mine are garbage picks a John Deere high end mower and a Toro mower.
A little carb cleaning and good to go, I will probably wind up with a couple more of them this year, get them running and give them away.

Ironpony, if you see one of these on the curb I'm interested.

I'm only 5' 10". For the right price, I'll mow the grass for all you big guys. Surely don't want to see any of you screwing up your backs!

I love Honda engines, but Honda push mowers are not impressive. I have two, don't like them. Toro with 4 wheel drive is my favorite.

Honda mowers... many a year I dreamed of getting a Honda mower - best of the best. I finally got one - NEVER again.

Self propelled - ok great but... The rear wheel assembly is separate from the deck - it pivots as a whole unit to adjust the rear deck height. This in itself is ok but... The power to the rear wheels is via a axle running between the rear wheels. THAT AXLE IS NO FOOLING ABOUT 1/2 INCH ABOVE the ground at all times. Unless your mowing a 100% flat golf course green that frikkin axle catches\snaggs on the ground all the time, pulls up sod, etc... I don’t live on a golf course... It makes ones lawn look like crap - Grrrrr.

And to think how much I paid for that thing!

The only fix is larger diameter rear wheels- Nothing made fits. I finally wrapped a roll of duct tape around each wheel to make them larger in diameter, raising that frikkin axle up about another 1/2 inch.

What sort of bozo designed that thing?

The summer after, while mowing I hit a rod pounded in the lawn to hold a for sale sign - bent the engine arbor - what the blade bolts to. damm thing is now out of true so when running the mower shakes like Santa’s tummy.

Yea, my fault but - worst mower I ever bought. Never again.

I am 6'1" and have a husky AWD with a briggs engine. the handlbars are at least 2 position adjustable. Only problem I have had with it is the recoil on the engine. A cheap flat plastic washer holds the starter dawgs. It warped allowing one dawg to jump out of the track. I fixed it and then it did it again. I started it for a while with my cordless drill till I reengineered that plastic flat washer with a bit of JB weld and a extra big steel fender washer. Now it works right every time.

The recoil houseing is pop rivited in place. I made this mod so it is bolted in.

This is why I bought the AWD model. Have used the front wheel drive models and they usually seem to only work as one wheelers after a while and always went side ways.

The made-in-china Yard Machines that I bought off Craigslist 6 years ago for $70 fired up this morning. It really is impressive. It gets a steady diet of old 2-stroke outboard gas and half of its job has been mowing up maple leaves in October and November. Lots of maple leaves. Like emptying the bag 20+ times in a day.
I still might upgrade to a self propelled with more power

I'm 6' and was thinking about buying a fun car. I asked a buddy that works on lots of different stuff about a Honda S2000. His response? Laughter and he drove one the other day - his leg was in the way of shifting. Ended up buying something German that is much sportier but much roomier.

If I still lived in the HV, I'd be wanting to check it out! Still a few good roads out that way...

I'm 5' 11", but have long legs. Any vehicle I drive , I have the seat all the way back.

One time I rented a Toyota yaris, they were closing up for the day when I got there, and just shoved keys and paperwork at me befor locking the door.
With the seat all the way back , my foot held the gas pedal to the floor.
Then I found out the car had no cruise control.

I ended up driving a couple hours home with my leg turned sideways to hold the gas correctly. Almost couldn't walk for a day after that

The frunk is pretty deep. I bet a could haul a single 20 inch round at a time.
