I picked up a new Dayton distribution blower today at Grainger. It's an exact match to the existing blower. $84.00 and change. I've seen them advertised for $100 more. Mine's been making noises for a while now. I'll run it the rest of the year if it lasts and install the new one this summer.

It's funny you say that, mine started to make funny noises this week. It doesn't do it all the time, but it's there.

Mine doesn't do it all the time either. Mine's 5 years old. I'll replace it and clean it up and keep it for a spare. In case you need it, the part number is 2C647.

Listening to these posts. Looks like a very reasonable price. The one for my old stove was much more. I didn't replace that because it only made noise for a week then ran just fine.

Just curious.....the blower itself can't go bad. Didn't they sell just a replacement motor?

Checking out the site, looks like the entire assembly? Great price, listed at 79.95. Nice find

Sub, Maybe add the grainger part number you ordered so future peeps can have for reference?

I might be able to get a motor cross from it and will post the findings.

Yep, I saw that and it IS a pretty cheap price, but once they have the assembly in hand in the store, pretty easy to look at the motor and see if they had just that. Why pay for the blower when only the motor is going bad.

I have neglected to clean my combustion and room blowers this year. A month ago they started to make some unpleasant noises. I bought an aerosol can of Tri-Flow and gave 'em both a shot…wow! Those fans having made a peep since then…I was pleasantly surprised.

No substitute for a good cleaning but it will really quite them down.
