Not a good pic but this is the third Tick off the crew already this season.

They all got their first dose this afternoon and these cheap little removers work great.:coldone:

Capture 2.PNG Capture 3.PNG Capture 4.PNG Capture 5.PNG Capture 6.PNG Capture.PNG I took a photo class. Last assignment is this week. I took it because I wanted to be able to take a decent picture of my two dogs. I am going to try to post them here. You all can judge if they are any good.
I think I'll need two pages.

:hair: Is that a tool to pull ticks off? And what is the long gray tail thing?

Very cool savemoney , is Molly the graying faced one and Max the black one? I am no photographer, did you trace your dog and blank out the the background with your tremor? Kudos !

Webbed toes showing, and the pick of two different colors in that one pic also very interesting :)

Thanks. Ticks are rare here, a couple more here in WY vs Colorado. Hoping I won't need one of those. Impressed you always find them :)

Never used anything other than fingers here.

Ex-FIL was convinced that you had to twist the tick counterclockwise when removing it. Guess ticks have standard threads.."righty tighty, lefty loosey!"

max is the old boy, molly is 5. the background is white snow. in order to show some features of contrast in the dark fur, I had to overexpose the picture so the the white snow lost all contrast. All the pictures were taken within 10 min. and all in the same place. my back yard. I had all I could do to stay standing. My legs don't work so good.

My parents used both a match stick and fingernail polish on my when I was a kid. WWW? He had more there growing up in CA, on the dogs he uses needle nose pliers or leatherman in field with the dogs, here- my tweezers or his fingers.

Because ticks breath from their body, my Mother used to keep a small bottle of Iodine or Methylate on hand. A drop or two on the tick and they will back out in a few seconds to a minute! I wish ticks were rare here, I coat my lawn with a natural flea and tick barrier but we still get them. They are "Horrible" here on the coast.

Ticks have been out for over a months here. I use Bravecto for the boys because they really get into the thick of it and Advantix every 6 weeks or so for the others. Heavily spray the perimeter of the living areas and trails with Bifen IT. Already picked a dozen or so off myself. Mostly get them when going off the trails. Pretty soon the chiggers will be out too, they are even worth you can't find them on the dogs. Have a great anti itch remedy to chigger bites. A couple ground up aspirins in vinegar and alcohol.

She got up to 140 degrees. This is the hottest I’ve seen her. I have to be careful though, the dog will chase the red dot. If things go bad I will have to go shopping for a new dog
