My Father-In-Law got me a shotgun to put down problem sheep I might have, but it is just a cheap Hatfield. I have only used it once, on a skunk, and I had to shoot the thing 4-5 times before it actually shot the round. I did realize I was using Remington Shells which I heard had issues, but it may be a cheap shotgun too? (I don't know, I am not bashing either the gun, nor the ammo, just saying honestly it did not shoot). I figure I am pretty well set if an intruder comes in either way. They will either: Be shot. Have a heart attack at being almost shot. Soil their britches and be distracted enough so I can get a second try at it. Die by laughing at my junk gun/ammunition.
Look at the shotgun shell primer, if it has a good dent in it then it's the ammo, if no dent or very light, it's the gun.
Hey thanks, I will try that! As you can tell, I am not into guns...100% with owning guns...just not well versed with them. Thanks again!
I hope you never have a home intruder, but please test the gun quickly so you can determine if it's ammo or gun. whichever it is you need to correct it where it will fire every time. an intruder will not give you a chance to fire four times before it goes off. Times are changing fast, we used to leave the windows and doors unlocked, not any more.
We still can here...I honestly do not even know where the key is for the front door; probably the same place the side and back door keys are as well. We did tell our daughters though, that if anyone scares you, run to the barn. I love my sheep, our dog Dutchess loves them even more. She would not harm me, Katie or our daughters, but I have signs up not to enter the barn or pastures. There is good reason for that; she has killed 2 coyotes and 2 fox. (Great Pyrenees) I will test the gun soon though.
I handled a shockwave the last time I went to the gun shop. I wouldn't want one unless I wanted to improve my tacticool status, but that's just one guy's opinion.
I've seen and handled both of them and they are pretty neat but I don't really have a need for one. Sent from my SM-S320VL using Tapatalk
My gun shop has one and I have handled it, I wouldn't buy one, be a wrist punishing, ear busting thing. it ain't cheap either. they had the Remington one, another reason not to buy it.
I feel like you could have a lot more useful shotgun for not a lot more money if you bought the tax stamp for a SBS.
Do I need it? No. Do I have a use for it? No. Would it do anything my current guns can't do? No. Do I want one? Yes.
Rather than start a new thread, since we are showing multiple weapons; i was looking into an additional vault. Made an order with this company today, after the offered a proffessional one-time deep discount. I hadn't heard of it before, but the website indicates a lot of free thinking and innovation. I ordered this one and a small wall attachment panel to see how it works. I am happy to share a review after I get it.
Here are mine Remington 870 20ga (going through a rough patch right now but historically one of the best shot guns ever made) I know I’ve had mine for 20 years and have had zero issues. Super Black Eagle II - left hand Stevens 16ga - no real reason for me to have this one except I was in the right place at the right time. Standing in a gun store, guy walks trying to sell this gun to the shop owner, shop owner gives him $30 for it. After the guy leaves I jokingly say to the shop owner “seriously? You only gave him $30 for that.” His response is “absolutely, now I can sell it to you for $35” Sold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Breatta Silver Snipes forefront is a 20ga. rear is a 12ga. Ithaca 37 featherlite 20 ga. Charles Daily 20ga left and 12ga right. these are my wife's shot guns. I like the 12ga but can't hit the inside of the barn with the door closed even with the 20ga. A SKB 685 12ga OU I shoot clays with. Also have not pictures a 16ga Wards Western Field model 25XHN and a single shot break action 410. Al
