A friend in one of NH's 13 cities called to say a guy he knew was looking to get rid of some wood all cut up. Heck yea, and not too far away. I made three trips, a pic from each load, and the pile on the ground. With another pic showing a earlier pile in the pic also. I also have a a couple or three cords to get in the woods, once the ground firms up. I don't get many calls like this!!! Mostly Sugar Maple, a little Box Elder & Locust, and a few elm rounds. Gonna get a 4th load tomorrow.
3.5 liter then. That's a good motor. Used in a lot of Ford vehicles. My mom has one in her Edge. In the 150's, the 3.5 has been replaced with a smaller version in a 3.3 liter, same block, different heads, and the dual port and direct injection.
You definitely researched the hell out of your truck if you know that info. I did the same when looking for mine but maybe just shy of you... Ended up getting a slightly high mileage truck but the mule does it’s job. Not minding it a bit.
I know, we're still having morning & evening fires. I am so ready to be done. I'm into processing now, not burning.
Horkn knowledge on vehicles, atvs, snowmobile etc etc is scary impressive. From personal experience, always willing to help and share! NH mountain man, is more like me, it starts, it does it job.. I need wood.
Now that is a nice friend to give you a tip like that! Too bad you had to go to a city to get it, but it is what it is. Dang I hate going into a city... And the older I get, the more I hate it. I have going to the village near us so you can imagine when I have to go to the city. Dang, have to go to one on Monday for a meeting...
I just got back from the fourth load to pick up the remainder. I had to bring my saw to noodle a triple trunk Maple crotch that was to heavy to lift. The remainder of today's load is mostly Elm, and Boxelder. The price is right, zero.
It was not a big "city", lucky for me, we only have two of 100,000 people. The other 11 cities here would be towns in most other states. I didn't go through one single traffic light, so all in all, a very pleasent trip. And it beats going to work, for this is fun work.Hope you have a nice trip Monday Dennis!
NH mountain man town I live in has interstate exit and no red lights. Had to go to mechanics at 8 am 21 miles 4 red lights traffic took 35 minutes.. But you got gooder, friends. Cut to length even
