We're right on the edge of another storm too. Looks like we're to get 3" or so on Tuesday/Wednesday. Up just a little north of us it's supposed to be 3-6", and up further in Wisconsin, a bigger winter storm. So that will more than likely got you guys eat of us too later this week.

Yeah, I'm done with winter this year. I've got palm trees and sandy warm beaches waiting for me in a couple of work days.

Yep. We got it too. 3 inches on grassy surfaces. Pavement was warm enough to melt it all off.

    Craziness I say

We're supposed to just get trace amounts where I live. More just south of me, which should screw with my work travel plans around the area today quite nicely.

I had to go to Jackman last Friday. They still have 5 feet on the ground in the woods, sap isn't hardly starting to flow. I'm done with winter for sure and had to go deal with more of it. You guys can have a little fun with the white sh**.

Hearing that makes me glad all over again that we sold our property in Jackman last fall. The snow plowing expenses would have been bad for this winter.

Sunday evening, after dinner, we walked down to the beach to get some exercise and watch the sunset. It was warm and pleasant. Someone even got a little carried away:

This morning I woke up to this:

    april 18 snow.jpg

As of 9AM we have about 7" and it is still coming down.

This spring is full of surprises.

It has been bad all winter here, thought the first of March we were done and got another 4 feet. I have to go to Jackman for work about every other month. May to early November is fine, usually take a few days and hunt around the area each fall. I despise going in the winter, it is a whole different world there with it's own weather, rather go to Fort Kent. Actually have to go to Rockwood the 11th and back to Jackman the 20th. Fun times.

Winter storm warning starting late tonight and going thru Tuesday. Weather guessers are saying anything up to 11 inches. Don't need that. I still have snow and ice in the yard that hasn't melted and I don't need more.

Man, I haven't been to Jackman in years. We used to go up there 4-6 times a winter and rented houses from Skylodge. Man those were some good times. Probably haven't been there since 2002.

Don't put the snow shovels away yet. Looks like this storm will go to our north...thankfully. 12-18" predicted north of us.

Scotty Overkill When you go to Brians in June take a trip over to Rumford / Mexico area and take Route 17 up to Rangely, it's not too far from his place. It's a nice ride and lots of sruff to stop and see. Bunch of waterfalls you can hike into and stuff if you do a little research. The Height of Land is closer to the Rangely end and it is a sight you'll never see anywhere else. I get vertigo everytime we go there. Supposedly you can see clear ro Lake Champlain on a good day. They also have a logging museum in Rangely thats kinda neat, lots of old saws hanging up ans certain days they do demos and stuff.
