That reminds me of my last trip to the shoe store to get work boots. The kid was showing me different boots explaining how some have breathable uppers. I asked him if he has ever had hot slag burn into his shoe before. He had no idea what I was talking about. His look was priceless. I told him no meltable fabric please. Nice work on the trailer!
Thanks! I’ve been wearing regular old asics athletic shoes. I wear boots all day at work and get sick of them.. So far only two burns
I picked up a 10lb spool yesturday after a little math. 2lb $18.99 = 9.495 a pound 10lb $74.00=7.40 a pound That’s a $2.095 a pound difference!!!
For sure.. I bought 5 lbs. of Forney 7018 for around $13.00 and free shipping.. Same with other rods.. 50 lbs. way cheaper but that's overkill for me but not Scotty
Heh, when picking up 12/2 MC Lite armored cable @ HD yesterday, I checked 25' vs 50' and saved a couple of bucks, what I DIDN'T do was compare to 250'. 25' runs @ .68 per ft 50' runs @ .62 prt ft 100' runs @ .54 per ft 250' runs @ .41 per ft It's not like elec wire expires. Next time, 250' is in the cart.
I once was arc welding in gum-boots, without any socks on, and during a rod change accidentally dropped the end of the very hot spent rod in to my boot! Wow did that make me dance. I may have yodelled too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks gassy Hopefully white oak from a local mill but cost is playing a roll so it might end up being Home Depot 2*8’s
I'm glad you posted a picture of your trailer with that comment. Where is Eric VW, this kind of comment usually requires his immediate attention. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pete. You could contract out to our armed forces with that trailer. Haul their four wheelers for them and tell them you can span small rivers for them. Back them up to one side, drop the mobile bridge gate, and over the river they go!
