    those pics are from years ago. We have more snow and no melting of the ice as of yet. Talked to one guy and he said a fisherman told him there is 27" of ice now. :yes:

    The next time go to a drug store and get some ThemaCare wraps. For sure get a package that will fit for your back then some smaller ones for other body parts. Once you put them on and keep them covered, they will give heat for 12 hours or longer. Especially that back wrap is worth its weight in gold when it is needed. And when the back acts up, the heat will do it good too.

    Hey, I think I've seen that lake a few times. 27" of ice sounds more like normal for this time of year.

    Makes me recall one year when we were having some company. Wife's niece and her friend were wanting to go swimming and asked about the water temperature. We didn't know but could tell here the ice had been out only a month (and it was in June then).

    Wind picking up a lot now but far from full strength. Hoping we will be blessed and the high winds will miss us. Trees are bending a bit out there. Have extra gas for generator.

    Crazy easy.

    I like that cantilever dock.

    Ours up north is somewhat similar without the the built in dock. That and ours is a roll in. Pull out with the atv and winch. So not that similar really I guess.:emb:

    The crazy winds have passed here. All that happened here was one of my top cover "non tarp" tarps;) partially shifted from my big stack in the yard.

    I'll have to go adjust that, but it's not that bad. I even put extra splits and timbers on top of the top cover a few days ago.

    Many years it doesn't leave until May. Makes a short season for those entitled to spearing....although they've used electric shock and dip nets for years now. :picard: Bad topic.
