It would be nice if there was a reverse splitter so you could lift some but the ram would be to the ground not the air. Might benefit those who cant bend to the waist down so much and still be possible to reverse the whole thing if you wanted to.

I’ll try and remember to. But basically it would be like having the splitter only stay level with the trailer chassis or beam and not all the way to the ground. So instead of having the logs on the ground BWS style, they’d be at chest height if you’re sitting. Basically an adjustable standing splitter.

Unfortunately most middle class folks recently have less of that spare $ available, so that amount has to be spread around a little thinner than it used to be.

Funny for me - I have my splitter and used it for the first 4-5 years I've owned it to split about half of the 8-10 cord I split per year. Somehow, I've gone the opposite route - I now split about 95% by hand and save the worst 5% for the splitter. I like the process, exercise, quiet, etc. To each their own! Cheers!

Well that makes one for you and probably five thousand for her on the “outsmarted scoreboard “. She probably let you have this one. Look out though, the counterpunch is coming,

My splitter story of a Tom Sawyer fence painting realm is my brother called me after seeing a great sale at Menards for a 19 ton. I happened to be in town with my pickup and drove straight over. I was amazed at how heavy it was in its crate and how much assembling would be needed.
I was a day away from leaving for vacation, so I told him “it’s in the shop still in the bed of the truck if you want to look at it. I knew he would be itching to see it work, so when I return from the Caribbean, there it was al done and some testing splits beside it. It would have sat for weeks before I got to putting it together.

I've wanted to get WWW splitter many times over the years, of course It's awesome to watch him split by hand, but he never wanted one. Anyway we are 90% pellets now after all these years.

Just be careful guys, wive's aren't stupid.

While my first instinct is to agree with this statement. I have to agree with the sentiment only.

I have a great wife who doesn't complain often about my spending. I manage the finances well, but include her on all major purchases. I expect the same from her. I've been in a relationship which each of us spent "community funds" separately, didnt work well.

That said, currently in process of installing a dishwasher, and came home today with a new Digi multimeter that wasn't necessary, but I've wanted to replace my analog one for some time. Not a problem in the least.

Besides she's the one that's better at saving money.
