In Kittery, we had the first tick found 3-4 weeks ago after the warm February..... :hair:

White dog that sheds like crazy 365 days a year is hard on the clothes but easier to spot ticks

That is true. I can speak to that. The differences between my other stove and this one is like night and day. This Harman just burns pellets and keeps me warm. The other stove was constant issues and daily cleaning. This stove is so easy to clean. I am impressed how it seldom needs the leaf blower treatment. I am down to once a year with that trick. Very disappointing when I do it. Just some red colored ash comes out and very little at that. I was real resistive to spending 4 grand on a stove, but now I don't look back and am very happy with my purchase.

I've got a couple doses of tick stove for each dog, so it looks like it might be time to start even though we still have deep snow. I can see patches of ground here and there. Ticks could be there as well as any place. Both my dogs head for the bushes when they have to do their business.

is it me, or am I the only one who doesn't know what a tick stove is?

Purchase options here for the genuine OEM part:

    Pellethead $32 shipped
    Friendly Harman dealer #1 $26
    Friendly Harman dealer #2 $60

That is not a mis-print or a joke, they genuinely charge $60 for the flame guide.:loco:

Probably stop by Friendly Harman dealer #1 this weekend.

Yes, he also said sales are up over 100%. And that his supplier doesn’t set his pricing, and that somebody must like them because they’re flying off the shelf.

I fully understand that, coming from a person with 45 years in the auto/racing business. Just seems that a LOT of Harmons having problems that can't be figured out, even with a VERY knowledgable dealer helping.

OK, that was intended to be "stuff". I have that darn autocorrect. I should learn by now to go back and proofread before I hit the post reply button.

She has at least 6 more years. After that I'll play the "I'm too old" card.

I'm like gbreda and B. Stove is 10 years old and has been used and abused and keeps on chugging. Only changes have been 1 dist. blower and 1 flame guide and a couple of gaskets. All gaskets will be replaced this summer.

Then you should also realize that gremlins do exist and that having a knowledgeable person helping on a forum isnt the same as being there and making sure that what they are suggesting is being followed.

Harmans are just another brand and yes they will have problems at times. They do cost more but anyone that I have known personally with one (that's 4 of us and no I had no say in any purchases except my own) has just fed the stove and let it do its thing. They just keep on chugging along.
