    Lots of slushy roads and skid out tracks this morning, due to the slush-snow-sleet that went on for awhile.
    Amazing that people still don't know how to drive in that slop.

    Got to 50° this afternoon. Have to use the oil burner. Burning wood would make it 95° inside. Need to get shoulder season wood again.

    This morning's load of pine with two pieces of sugar maple is still cooking 14hrs in. Three cheers for spring! Same load coming for overnight. We were in the 40s by noon and are just dropping now as the sun sets. If it were like this all winter I don't think I'd even break ten cord. :D

    It's 38° here and cloudy, but by noon the sun is supposed to come out, and it gets to 50°. I'm burning the red maple that I've been moving in the wheelbarrow. The stack I'm trying to empty is not all going to fit in the woodshed. And that area has to be clear by April 9, when the mini-split gets installed.

    Hold on you people expecting 60 on Friday. They told us to expect 60 today too. Then they cut it to 58. Now they've cut it to 48. It is still in the 30's. Possible snow on Saturday. So much for Spring.
