You will note my Saranac had at least 3 names and at least four controllers, its High limit Thermodisc had two mounting locations and a lot of "cooling" issues. Do you really want me to go on and on. We can discuss all of the airflow issues as well.

No problems with either of mine either.

I think it is the pampered stoves that suffer the most - if you don't spoil them to begin with they get the idea that they gotta work for a living and to get that occasional good bag of pellets ;)

I may have been lucky and maybe the guide was more warped than it looked. Big difference over the last 2 weeks and all I did was change the guide.
Pellets are from the same pallet so no change there either.

I am actually surprised at the difference.

Pete, of all people you should know that there is no such thing as a mechanical device that never will have problems. Anyone that try to say otherwise is full of chit (ie-salesman)

I will say that my P68 has burned 4-6 ton per year for 9 seasons now (1 season with only 2 ton). Cleanings, 1 door gasket and 1 flame guide....period

    Mike Drop :D

You probably could have used another gasket or two during those 9 years. Lol

Harman has gasket rejuvenating qualities that lengthens the life of the gaskets

No see to much of him anymore.

You can get any stove to manage, Its just how much you wanna tinker and $pend to do so. Or use the BFH to persuade them into submission!! :D

Took the dogs out to do their morning business and when we came back inside, I pulled 3 ticks off them. Tis the season already...everyone make sure your pets have their tick defense squared away.

Talk to our friend from WV. He got one of those new Ashley's with enough air issues to rate using a welding system, BFH, and tons of gasket.

I just call them as I see them.

The ones I saw on Amazon were 3rd party sellers and too many people claiming to get aftermarket guides when genuine harman were advertised. I didnt want to chance it, so I just went to the dealer.

Now if the dealer was pricey, that would have been a different story. Since they were reasonable price and my money was staying local, they got my business.
