depends on which setup you have, but the cradle-type holder (older style) was to the left, facing the burnpot.....and the newer-style integral burnpot, same dealio.....the picture is upside down, so it looks like the igniter is toward the bottom, but installed, the bottom of this picture is to the left......hope this helps

I haven't had a lot of time to check out my ignition problem and was running in stove mode for a couple weeks. don't have a draft gauge either, or how to set it up.

Changed two things thinking airflow has to be the problem: removed the screen I had over the 4" outside air intake to eliminate any constriction at this point. noticed that a couple of cocoons were on the screen, further reducing air flow. did not improve ignition much.

Door gasket dollar bill check: well all I had was a $100 so I had to use that! loose in several places. adjusted the latch as far to the rear of the hole as I could get - that tightened it up a fair bit. There's really no adjustment, just the slop in the hole.

stove ignites on the first pellet feed stage reliably. problem solved temporarily. I need a new door gasket for a more permanent repair.

    thanks for all the info!

well, it IS a Harman....do you really believe any test on a Harman would work with a measly $1 bill?!
Take an ugly guy, send him in the bar, see how much "game" he has. He's probably leaving alone. Take that same guy, have him pull up in a hot car, stick a $100 bill hanging out of his pocket.....chick magnet!
