70 year old saw stripped down to bare metal, cleaned, repainted and reassembled. 30" bar and weighing in somewhere around 35 pounds. This saw comes with a copy of the original owners manual and parts list. This saw is best suited for a collection. Saw located in Oregon. Contact me if interested.
Thanks! I don't have any reason to think it would not run. The magneto assembly is all clean and intact. I have not put any fluids in just in case it ships. This had sat for at least fourteen years that I know of (if not longer) and the oil in it had gone close to sludge. I would not use this for cutting wood, there are much faster and lighter saws available today. This is a collector piece or it gets donated to a museum.
A. That's probably to much $$$ for my blood. B. It's waaaaaay too nice. Very cool old saw, I missed a chance at this model a few years back (not nearly as nice though).
Well, that's a tough one to answer. I have seen the outside cover (picture 0582) sold as a single replacement for $180, that was for one part. I see there is one on Craigslist that does not have all parts (I phoned the guy and told him he was missing parts) that has sat untouched for over 40 years, asking $800, he won't budge below that. All things considered, I am looking for offers north of $2K.
Well, I sincerely believe that's a fair number on that saw. It's a rare one, in fantastic condition. I hope it goes to a good home!
Hello, are there no collectors out there? This saw is looking for a good home. All offers will be considered!
