Stumpin

Cut up everything I dropped last weekend yesterday and dug a beech maple and small gum stump. Then started digging this big gum stump.

It was a bugger 6-8" fan roots and it's adjacent to another gum and beech stumps.
Finally after picking at it with my pin pointer I was able to undercut the one tap root holding me up and she moved real slow.

This was a 16" DBH gum ~ 75' tall but it's stump squatted out to ~2.5'

 

Did you sacrifice a chain to the stump gods to get that cut out of there?

 

I'll find out when it's on the vise but I saw some sparks.
There is a bunch of quartz coming up in this clay

 

Did you celebrate once the stump was free?

 

When it finally started twisting with the hydros on relief valves I was happy a half days work was at least partially completed
