Not really cold this morning, just below freezing, and heading a few degrees above freezing later. Looks like some cooler temps rolling in 4-5 days from now. Poplar in the stove .

I clean wheelbarrow paths before I even do the driveway after snow falls. I'd be doing a lot of running back and forth to get the owb loaded without it. :)

Beautiful day here today, 40 sure does melt a lot of snow when it's got a strong sun shining. Still too deep to process anything, but I did manage to get some clean-up done around the remains of this year's stacks, and succeeded at chasing the damm birds out of the roof. Had sine house sparrows nested in a valley last year.. what can it hurt, I thought.. then one got down into the wall and scared the crap out of Mrs Papi. This year the squatters will not be returning. Caught then in the act of nest construction, chard em off, and filled the hole.

Bout the same here. Not bitterly cold, but that wind seems to be cooling the house down, furnace at the upper end of the temperature range I set at. Getting ready to fill the OWB for overnight. Supposed to be in the forties tomorrow, but the pasture will be mushy so not big plans for outdoors.

    Tinker in the shop.

Heading out to the OWB myself in a couple minutes. 20's here for now, but dropping.

We went out for a family reunion type thing and got home late. No fire now, but it ain't that cold. Lightly snowing, we'll deal with the fire in the AM.

Sitting at a balmy -1 C or 31 F at the moment, with a 1 degree drop slated for overnight. Limping the stove along one stick at a time, and still sitting at 77 F indoors. Weather kind of gross though, a bit of wind, was rain, then ice pellets, and supposed to get snow.

Well, maybe enough snow will melt, so you can see some! May need greening up a bit.

Last spring we had a late snow, grass was up pretty good. Cut the grass on my only day off...snow was green. Was funny. Had the nicest manicured green snow around.
