    Heavy fog like yesterday, and temps are -9 C or 15 F. Poplar in the reactor. Should get above freezing later on.

    37ºF now. snow flurries and the sun almost came out for a minute and the slush all melted, gone, back to the snow leftover from the last storm.
    just reloaded with red oak and it will be a bit too warm in here in not too much more time.
    Town crew is out picking up branches along the street and chipping them. They took the ones with snow piled up on top of them but not the ones I stacked up nicely for them. :picard:

    Ah ha! We're finally back into the 40's here and sunny. However, although it was nice working in the woods, I quit a bit early so I could maybe prune a few more raspberries. Wow! Once I got into the open I about froze. We've had a NE wind for at least a week now but it changed today into a NW wind and it is a raw one. I did not get many berries pruned... Decided to quit early. Besides, I have a meeting to go to tonight.

    Blew alot here today . gusts pushing 50 mph . That's a bunch for not being on the coast. Temp was about 10 above at 8 am . Got up to mid 20s and is now back in the teens. Beautiful sun all day tho.
    Poplar in the stove , closed down the draft almost tight.

    This morning my stove is chomping through oak pallet boards, yew stumps, and the bottom dregs of the woodshed. I've got more good stuff, but I want to burn up the oddballs. One I get one side of the shed empty, it's moving time.

    Dog decided I was stretched out too comfy on the couch, and jumped up and lay on my legs. Too bad he's 95 lb so here I am. Sitting at -4 c or 25 f, and winds 18-20 mph. Poplar idling along.

    They say we hit that yesterday but it felt colder than a couple days previously when the temperature was barely above freezing. That cold wind really bit into you. Not sure if I'll make it out to do much today. It's a bit of a hurting day here.
