Just finished painting the basement floor. Nice.

May even do the workshop, but hoping to hold off till next winter and do the walls first, then the floor.

Gooder idea. Don’t want to mess up a fresh finished floor. BTW, what are you waiting for on finishing the walls? You could have them done by the time the weather starts to warm up, just in time for better floor work results, yes?

    Back to classes next week.
Won't have to move everything away FROM the walls, paint the walls, then move everything back into place. Then repeat for floors.

You're starting to sound like 99...but, if she (and you) wants it done this month, so be it! :headbang:

Some kind of epoxy or cement paint? I would like to do our basement as well to brighten it up.

Latex. The walls have been primed and painted for years now....in the workshop....fake brick and maple in the rest of the basement.

I used regular flat white paint for a primer, then went over all once again with a semi-gloss. Three times in the last 11 years were given that coat of semi-gloss. Nice and smooth were the walls don't leak...kinda rough looking where they do leak.
