Sounds like you need to blow some insulation this summer.

Sitting at +1 C or 34 F right now. :thumbs:Bunch of tinkering, tidying and swept the mother nature insulation off the roof. Sure lifts the spirits to have warm weather with no wind, no snow, and sun. I'd be rocking the BBQ tonight if we had filled the propane tank. Must have lifted others spirits too, I heard shooting, chainsaws, and snowmobiles the whole time I was outside.

Might have to break out the 458 win mag and shoot some Saskatchewan ballistic testing medium.

With the temps you've been posting this winter I bet you were doing your chores with a t-shirt! :)

30 here with pine and cherry doing the deed. Forecast calls for more 30's/20's for day/night temps at least through Friday, so it looks like our new two foot blanket will be around for a bit. Trying to hit the pine harder and save the hard stuff for mixing in a few splits at a time for coaling purposes. I'll have to relight occasionally, but not the end of the world with the high sun at this time of year.

Put 2 medium size oak splits in with one medium pine split on coals from past nights reloads. Watching it burn now.

We had a decent day today, 30's with a little sun. Watched/helped the Barc Busters tree boys drop some nasty trees at a job site. Had a great time. We're supposed to have about 5 days of winterish type weather yet before the big warm up next weekend. If the forecast pans out, the Groundhog hit it dead on. Low 20's overnight light wind. Oak & Ash on duty. Setting the clocks ahead to get pimped on an hour of sleep. Stupid time change anyway.

Good morning to all, we have 25* out, and 55* in. Just a daytime fire yesterday, so now Oak & Maple are doing what they do best , chasing the chill out of the house. I'm low on shoulder season wood as I burned it during our unusually warm February. I have two cord of Oak that was to be burned then, so I'm using that now.:loco:

We have another nor'easter coming Mon./Tues., supposed to get another foot plus of snow. we're in the zone now, 3rd one in the last week or so. Some folks haven't got power back yet. This won't help, except for Rowerwet . He'll get another ten trailer loads of wood.

Another cool night here, but managed to stay on the top side of the zero mark. Those clear nights still get it done.

Made it to the very low 30's yesterday, but plenty of sun.

32°F with light snow. Using some American elm I cut dead standing, gets hot, fast. Homemade from scratch biscuits with strawberry preserves for breakfast. The wife and I are taking a declared "flop" day, no work.

Anyone know of a cabin in the Northwoods I could rent for a week next winter. I want to set in front of a big window and watch it snow while my old dog, Blue, and I sit inside and eat deer chilli and toasted cheese samiches between naps. I've never taken a vacation in my life and I think it's about time for one.

PS. Cabin must have woodstove and firewood ready to go. LOL

Currently sitting at -15 C or 4? F. Don't think it got much colder than that overnight. Should make it north of -5 C or 22 F later, so nothing to complain about. Poplar in the stove.

What a nice warm day, it hit +3 C or ballpark 36 F. My fuzzy buddies sure enjoyed sleeping outside all afternoon, either on the step or in the snow. Sitting at -12 C or 11 F currently, nice and toasty inside with poplar.

Good Morning FHC, 18* here, and once again Oak & Maple on the menu. We'll be stocking the porch wood boxes today before the storm coming in from the nor'east Tues/Wed. The radio said some folks could get up to 18" and this will be accompanied by gale force winds. We shall see.
