Made up my mind today. This week the snow blade comes off and gets put away until December. Snow tires come off and summer tires go back on. Easy chair gets used an extra hour or three.

Just had to plug 2 holes on the same tread lug.....at least I ran over whatever I ran over before I swap the summer tires back on....gonna need new winters next winter.

And the boot tore right off my idler arm and the joint has play.....I just replaced that last summer :headbang::BrianK: at least it's not expensive. Seem to be giving the truck a partial overhaul :makeitrain"

I'd like to think about switching seasons. But just learned last nights 4" predicted for Monday night is now in the 12 to 18 range.
Today is beautiful though. Hiked out back with the wife and then spent sometime getting one of last weeks storms damage out of the field. Split most of this down to a long sleeve jersey.

Made a live edge window sill to match all the other stuff in the mud room. Slowly but surely getting all the finish work done.

Going to sand and finish it later.

I made a built it cabinet on the opposite wall with a live edge top that doubles as a window sill. Figured they should match.

I'd gladly take a half foot of that snow you have. We've got nothing here. I can't use the tow sled to haul wood.

    I did this yesterday. IMG_20180310_163620004.jpg

Then I split that all up.

I had to use my new cart, but I popped a tube. 800 lb capacity my butt. It will work for yard use, but even super slow use in the woods was too much. IMG_20180310_135927709.jpg

I also hauled home a load of ready to burn dead elm that I split earlier this winter.

I had to do a lot of hauling like this. Much more work, and dirtier. But, as you can see, the mud was out in force. IMG_20180310_154440933.jpg

There were about 5 loads like this.

I also bucked up an ash that I'll trade to my buddy for what will be 4 year seasoned red oak. Earlier this winter this tree was at a 30° angle. The storms we've had recently ( mostly just wind) dropped it all the way. I'll get this tree out of the woods maybe next week. IMG_20180310_162332207.jpg

What species are you using for the sill and cabinet?

The Peavey is what I wish I had 20 yrs ago. No more rolling a log digging my knees into the ground.
    Thanks for the lesson!

Ooh, your seed starting - what kind of seeds? Makes me itch to do the same thing but it is way too early.

I'm just leaving to go to work filling my coffee mug again. Hope it isn't snowing on the hallway turnpike. Traffic should be light this morning............................
