Love the looks and performance of a sleek bike but my aging body likes the cruiser. Can beat a big V Twin that can be heard and also get out of its own way while keeping us comfortable

 

Believe you are correct on the small cc bikes being the next market here in the states. Harley is in tough shape. Again..... Shame.
My riding group has evolved this direction the last 5 years. What a blast taking back roads (less texting traffic/idiots). Great mileage as well. We've had some rather epic DS rides with the largest bike being a 350cc. Great times. Sharp learning curve on packing for a week or two camping out each night! Maybe not for everyone but it works for us. Just hard on the arse without seat upgrades Birds are chirping and the sun is shining here. Snow is mostly gone. Bout time to roll.

 

My sport bike is a big torquey LC v-twin that you can definitely hear with the full aftermarket exhaust on it. The riser clip ons and Corbin seat with decent wind protection make it very comfortable for any type of ride. It's not great for passengers though.

 

Had to take a break from the wood splitting/stacking today. Beautiful weather today in south central Pa.
This bike is an animal! I love it more each time I ride it. Gobs of powa and a suspension that inspires confidence over everything. It’s like a mature adults sport bike.

 

No salt or grit on the roads by you?

We're a ways off from that, yet the other week when we had 50° for 2 days, I saw a few bikes out. Soon enough for me.

 

The mature adults might have been a stretch lmao.

 

We've had unreal amounts of rain which has helped to wash away cinders. There were still spots that caused momentary lack of grip.

Lol! Troof. I passed 2 cages as we approached a straight and the front came right up on me as the revs built. Wish I could've seen what that looked like in said cages. Wasn't so "mature" but damm it's fun!

 

Glad to hear you were able to get out and enjoy 2 wheels. I know the rain has been killing you lately.

Hope that weather pans out for ya. We’re still a ways away from decent road conditions. Big ole snow storm put a hurtin on us last week.
I decided to do some maint. Removed the rear hub and cleaned/re-greased the roller bearing. Then proceeded to the hydrolic fluids. New rubber should be in tomorrow or thurs.

I've got to refill the coolant in my bike after dumping the straight RO water from the system for storage. Yes, I've got the no silicate formula.

 

Hoping to pick up my bike from storage a week from Friday. That will be 2 days before the Chapters monthly meeting and Ice Breaker ride. Course it depends on if Mother Nature cooperates.

 

I saw a couple bikes today. Yes it did get near 60 and sunny, plus it did rain a bit the other day, but.... There's still salt on the roads. More importantly, this am there was a heavy frost this am, and I even saw areas of ice from the roads sweating and refreezing, as well as some straight up frost on the road. It was 27° on the driver in this am.

I've made it a rule a long time ago that if there's frost out, I won't ride.

Touted for great wet weather performance but they’ll probably never see rain on my bike. I love the near slick edges.

I'm still astounded at how well the metzeler sportec m7rr 's grip in all the imperfect road conditions. Can't wait to get out this spring.

 

They dropped the pilot moniker trying to distinguish the 2 so it’s just a Road 5. I need a sport/touring tire for the mileage. I’d chew through a sporty tire in 2-3k for sure. The pr4 only went about 6k. I used to be very happy with the Z4-Z6 line. Used them for years. Almost went for Z8’s but decided to stick with Mich one more time. If these don’t satisfy, I’ll go to Metz.
A friend of mine with a EB RX had me mount the 7rr’s on it. He loves em too. If I was full blown sporty, I’d try em. We rack up too many miles straight up and the rear would surely square off.

 

Got in 160 miles today. Ran into an old friend had lunch and some good conversation, good day for sure!
