Love Bromberg, saw him this past year at the Tom Rush 50th Anniversary bash at Boston Symphony Hall.

 

I was on a little Dave Brubeck jag, a genius of jazz. The Sax player here is Gerry Mulligan, a fabulous sax player.

 

Back to reggae. Got my Dennis Brown Pandora station on.

 

That's an interesting looking turntable.

Songs from the wood is a good album. First show I saw was Tull just after this album was released.

 

Yeah, as far as I'm concerned it was their best.

 

Funny that you brought up Tull my wife and I were talking about him yesterday good choice guys

 

I think the first two, This Was and Stand Up, when their music was more blues oriented are better. Songs from the wood is definitely the best one out of that latter era for the band though.



I saw Ian Anderson last summer. His voice is shot. He had someone else sharing the lead singing duties with him. He can still play the flute though.

 

My favorite Tull album. I "think" Jethro Tull was the name of the group and Ian Anderson was the flutist/lead vocal/dancer.

Great live act.

 

I can appreciate your preference for the older style. Guess I just prefer the more refined sound.

 

I can definitely go with you on that, the earlier stuff is much more raw. At any rate it's all good.

 

And if you have an early copy of the album they actually "Stand Up".
