Same issue here. Bought a new flame guide but it didn't make any difference. Suspect the ash door gasket now.

Is your water filter before your heater? If so,you may need a reverse osmosis filter system, there are parts of MD that had that problem.

Wildwest, some pellet stoves do strange things,if run out of pellets, most common is to suck ash into the vacuum switch.Just a thought.

Both stoves got a full cleaning today. Man they were dirty! When I opened the ash pan door on the P43, ash came spilling out the front! Anyway, clean as a whistle now and humming right along again.

Chiropractor has charged my FSA for not only a day I wasn't there, but a day I didn't have an appointment - actually the day I cancelled an appointment next week (happens to be the day the next storm is coming up the coast). I probably never would have seen it except my FSA requested paperwork for a claim from my eye doctor. When I logged in to upload the documents, at the top of the list of payments was a strange number (not the usual $25 the chiro charges) so I started digging into it. My FSA doesn't usually challenge the chiro charges (except for a charge in Feb - see below), so the timing was everything on my seeing it.

This is going to be a PITA. Have already informed my FSA thru email and the chiro thru voicemail and email. I have also asked the chiro to delete my FSA card information.

Wasn't planning on going back to this chiro as they eff'ed up another issue and then sent me medical records in an unstamped, unclosed envelope. They wouldn't send the receipt I asked for thru email because of HIPPA  - but the envelope was obviously never wetted and the flap was inside the envelope. And when I got it, I found they didn't' even send the receipt requested but an accounting of my account since the beginning of the year. The reason I had to request the receipt for my Feb visit was because the one they gave me at that appointment was an accounting of a full year of service. My goodness I have had issues with their paperwork the last month!

And to think, these people came highly recommended from people I work with and from my HOG chapter.

Makes sense as my ash door gasket is original. The firebox foor gasket could use a re do as well.

Sounds like you need to find a new bone crusher and I feel your pain with the damm paperwork, actually kept me away from the doctor for eight years because of the fact I was paying premium $ through company insurance and every time I went somehow, someone completely Fu**e* it up and I would have to fight for weeks upon months to fix it.

So after eight years of paying $400+ a month for the best possible insurance available through the company BC BS (only for my wife's care) I was getting heat from my family and my wife about not going to the doctor in 8 years, only time i went was when I collapsed from exhaustion and fell back and knocked my self unconscious for who knows how long ended up making it back home and laid on the wife's bathroom floor bleeding like a stuck pig as I had cracked my noggin she brought me to the ER(was lucky as a farmer found me lying there and it was only 8* outside), slipped on ice broke 3 ribs , dropped granite on my unprotected foot (had slippers on ) and crushed my foot broke 3 toes another ER visit never went to my primary care doctor in those eight years.

I finally thought to myself ok Idiot you need to do this for your wife and family and I convinced myself to do so. PC had dropped me from his patient list but had some connections and I got back in . He was like well I saw you last 8 years ago so every possible test known to man was prescribed for me including my first invasive cam test yep wont go any further.
Found out I was borderline diabetic which was good and explained my low blood sugar episodes, put me through the stress test which i passed with flying colors and told me all the things I already knew about old breaks and how beat up my body was and of course my everlasting battle with insomnia.
All good until the Bills started to come in, mind you I had paid $40 K in insurance in the last 8 years and had not claimed but a few ER visits so I was not expecting to pay anything but it seems BCBS had other ideas. I was so BS I nearly lost my mind, seems that the stress test that my PC had prescribed the company that performed it was not under BCBS "Tiered" providers list . I asked how the fu** was I suppose to know that and they responded you should have checked with us ! I refused to pay it called them and asked them WTF are you kidding me telling them I had paid them $40 K in the last eight years and I finally do the right thing for my family, and as they expect for my insurance as well and now they wanted to stiff me with an $1800 bill . PC said don't pay it he would see if he could do something but in the end I had to pay it. I was fuming and nearly ready to go postal, I hate insurance companies , health especially it just drives me nuts. Such a fricking racket and the ones who get screwed are the hard working people.
Alright therapy rant over but I feel your frustration Bogie and if you lived closer I could recommend the best Chiropractor I have ever been to in my life and I have been seeing them for over 30 years as I was an idiot as a youngin abusing my body with sports and work and rely on them to keep me keeping on .
Just saw that I am getting bills from my Dentist when I paid my copay which was beyond what I had thought my plan requested but here we go again . I fricking hate it , makes me want to say frick it and head up into the mountains and F society live off the land as I did in the catskills years ago.

Not the same in regards of how much but last Nov I saw my doc for a work injury. He also gave me a flu shot (which he offered, I didnt ask for it) and told me that would be billed to my Anthem BC insurance. Well they billed the flu shot to workers comp who isnt paying for it.

They billed the wrong insurance and want me to pay for their mistake as it has been too long and cant submit to Anthem now.........only 40 bucks but the fight is on.

Yup, health insurance companies really pizz me off. We use my wifes company and they are denying my diabetes meds, leaving me with nothing to take. They change things on a whim and have little or no compassion. We pay our money and get nothing but problems. I spoke with a pharmacist who is a customer of our yesterday and he stated that most of his time is spent talking ( fighting ) with insurance companies. Also stated that insurance companies suck 60% of monies taken in for administrative costs. So today a representative is supposed to call me to help straighten the mess that they have made. Great, my one day off and I gotta waste time talking to a insurance company. I'm just gonna end up mad and frustrated.
On the good side I'm going to a co workers moms house to pick up 14 bags of North American pellets for 0$. She doesn't use the stove anymore and just wants the bags gone. I will get her a gift card to somewhere she likes though.
Pups are growing and becoming very active and well, a pain in the arse. They make alotta noise and chew on anything, including my feet. Lucky they are cute as can be.

Sifted three bags of Eagle Valley's and fetched 10 from outside storage. 25 left to bring in and replace them with the Lacrete's which are waiting for a new home(outside storage):smoke:
Luney, I also use the wheel barrow with loads of 5 and less when really icy ;)

Today is moving the Boiler Buddy storage tank from the woodshed to downstairs by sled  ,

clean off the back deck, sn*wblowing the back and side paths around the house ("snow moat"),

changing out the cabin air filter in Natalie's Subieroo,

seeing what kind of "circus contortionist acrobatics" will be required to remove the engine Coolant Temp sensor out of the '01 Olds Intrigue (-another- leaking o-ring / gasket / seal..) :picard:,

Sourcing an 8mm piece of round stock to replace the Heat Exchange cleaning rod in the Francesca, as the original decided to give up the collared tack weld to the tube cleaning grate: rod is 8mm, nut on end is 10mm, spacing between tubes is 12mm: can't fit a dammed thing in there to remove normally (Yay), gotta pull out the cleaning rod, cut from the outside, and replace.. ,

and more general sn!w cut-back and cleanup.

Time to get busy.. Have a fun day all.
