I didn't even bother cleaning up what fell during the day. I'm hoping what is on the driveway will melt before the next storm (okay, not likely since we are supposed to get snow tonight and thru the weekend) and I'm not that anal about the paths. They must have winged back last night as there is a berm again at the end of my driveway. Small enough for the Explorer to get over so just a minor nuisance

Definitely not the heaviest of the season for me - that was earlier in the year when we got a bunch of rain on top of a bunch of snow.

That one wasnt so bad for me. This one was like having the bottom 3-4 inches packed down like it had been driven on all day-and again that was after it sat all day compacting itself. If I had done the entire cleaning in the morning, it would have been sooooo much easier than waiting.

I thought I was doing the right thing by leaving it, but like some other life decisions-that was not the case

I had quite a bit of melting today for a cloudy day. Temps only got up to 36-37 but my driveway is almost bare. I still have a mountain on my garage that I have to deal with tomorrow.

Pffft! Hopper ran out of pellets tonight. Filled it back up but again it won't feed and throwing odd error codes. Portable oil radiator and a ceramic space heater doing a well but.... Tried both "reset" and the "erase" sequence but still is not feeding. It's unplugged now.

    Thoughts?

Did the pellets make it to the burn pot before the stove timed out? Try putting a handful of pellets in the burn pot before starting it?

Thank You Pete :) Tried several combinations now of most possiblities. Most combos we had the pot burning (I kept adding pellets by hand to the hopper). Giving it another try in a different sequence. Wish us luck. It's been feeding lately but errors out on ignitor code (yes, ignitor is bad we've been lighting it manually for a few months now).

Heck wildwest, I just started pressing and holding (powered down 1st) different buttons on my fairly non adjustable Ashley AP5710 tonight (based on some posts that G**gle showed for that dearth site)... got all sorts of things flashing on the twin 7 segment display, including “AUX” and “DR”.... gonna have to figure out WTF is up with that and whether or not I can “tune” my stove a bit.......?

Thanks :) I had to pull up my manual to find which two buttons to press at the same time to "erase" the code and also to restart the upper auger. Don't get me wrong, we love this stove. It's now feeding, WWW wants to try lighting it again after waiting till the burn pot died..................................................

I can relate Tully sometimes at such a small cost for those of us with the OCD its just a win win to suffice the OCD at so little cost. A little feel good goes along way today !

Be careful Sub this chit is heavy as hell and does not come down so easy, I should do the same thing but am rolling the dice on this next storm going out to Sea instead of hitting us.
My front and back porch and my garage are the only roofs without heat beneath them and pile up with snow so usually have at the least to remove snow from them when we get a heavy snow event.

My fricking back is killing me and I have to choose between clearing some snow off the roof or humping a ton of pellets into the cellar after wheelbarrowing 4 bags at a time to get to the cellar bilco door, Im going with pellets or ill have to burn oil.

One of the best investments I have ever made was this MinSnowta cost me over $250 but I had to buy a lot of extensions as my house is a post and beam house and pretty dang tall works like a charm !
