29°F-2°C now, low 27 °F New snow accumulation of less than one inch Tomorrow 37 °F , Rain/Snow I'm ready for 50s n 60s, got spoiled last week Maple choochin in the box
Nice now, 34°, a day to prepare for snow. I'm burning mystery wood splits from the dump, don't want to save them for another year. I brought all of it into the basement. NH mountain man, you must be looking forward to a good snow?
Looks like I forgot to proof read that one. We're more used to seeing that sort of thing from the guys using their phones to type on.
Snowing a bit now but we only got enough to cover the ground a bit. Not expecting much more. Good. However, this week is scheduled to be a great week for making maple syrup. Freezing nights are needed because of the rush we had earlier. However, it probably won't run much as highs expected only in the 30's. But it will run some. Most were worried that the season would be really short but this will help that.
Sitting at -10 C or 14 F. A hint of wind, and about an inch of snow fell over night. Poplar in the stove.
34F here, cloudy & coolish for the next few days. Little snow this A M melted. Don't miss it by this time of year. Ash in the firebox.
Thats still pretty chilly and in celsius is -25. We had a sun/cloud mix with highs of -2c/28f and now its -6c/21f. I dont mind if winter starts giving me milder temps although we can still get some cold temps. I just loaded the stove with larch for the evening and settling in to watch a bit of netflix.
33ºF out now, supposed to get up to 40ºF and start raining sometime before noon. NWS has flood warnings but that is likely partially due to all the rain a couple days ago. Electric company came to fix the power and instead condemned the mast and weatherhead and disconnected it as a hazard. What one guy said they would fix, now they're not. I could have hired an electrician last Saturday or at least Monday. Bastids. Burning 4 or 5 year old white oak and got into some from the bottom of the stack that just doesn't want to burn. Three or four splits on one side of the stove are just sitting there smoldering. Always something. Only one of them seemed a little heavy.
9f and oak slabs burning at about 39,000 pounds for the season so far.. Heat550 Sent from my LG-H900 using Tapatalk
