huskihl , if you had to make a comparison with this saw to a husky or stihl what would be the closest?

I'd say somewhere between a stock and ported 044. But it has more torque than either, if that makes sense.

It's an echo thing. Others wouldn't understand.

I'm sure it would surprise stock 365/72 owners as well.

I think so. Never ran a stock one though lol. And the log is bigger now than it was when I was doing 365's and 372's. So not a fair comparison.

Whenever. Better put 6 tanks through this one first. Then you'll have a better idea of how it's gonna run

huskihl , what oil % were you running in it? I keep red armor in ethanol free gas at 44:1 for all the 2 stroke OPE.

In the stock vs ported cuts in the same log, I had 37 seconds vs 27 seconds. That's 27% faster. It has a new Meteor piston and rings in the ported vids. Once the rings seat, it should be up in the 32-35% range if my math is correct,

The engine looked good inside. But more oil wouldn't hurt. Most builders recommend 32:1, but I know the Red Armor is a little thicker and most guys run it 40:1.
I like easy. I buy oil by the quart or gallon and mix 8 oz per 2 gallon can. 32:1.

i settled on 44:1 as a medium between 50 and 32. thought it was a good trade off especially using red aremor. great stuff when you look at the white papers

    That's why I ride a TL1000.;) The Japanese ducati.

Also why I like my dolkita.

That ported 670 seems to run really nice.
