Me too! I have an old "Navy arms" Yellow boy that shoots .38 special also. I rarely shoot that, but is such a joy to go plinking with. :)

Got to work on a few things today a buddy of mine got outta his Grandma's basement. After doing these I have concluded plastic media blasting will be my go-to method. The built up carbon on the skillet flew off way easier than I expected. This was all done in less than 15 minutes of blast time.

I have only seen basting points under the covers and not rings. Pretty interesting. Nice pan.

Sad day... I got 2 rusted up Griswold pans for free. Didn't know what they were till I cleaned them up. Got a 11 Erie from 1880-1910 and a #7 725a double circle slant logo with wooden handle 1909-1916, which is my favorite. Once I started using cast iron I use it every chance I get now. I will only buy cast iron from now on.

My old coworker was like you want these my friend left them here and I don't want them.I was like sure I'll take them I love free stuff. So they sat in the garage for a few years. Then I got a woodstove this year and decided to clean them up so I had something to cook with. Found out what they were and was like wow these are a pretty awesome piece of American history. Also got a 2 dutch ovens a stove top amd a campfire one and a 502 coleman stove.

Same here, I got hooked right around Christmas, and never looked back. I cooked once with a non cast iron pan, and it felt like I was cheating or something.
