50's here today, wind not past 30 mph. The snow drifts had so much dirt/dust blown on them they look like mounds at a dirt bike track. Glad they are melting.

-6c/21f right now and snowing. Weve had about 8 inches of the white stuff since yesterday morning to add to our snow pack. I had to relight the stove this morning. Currently the stove is gaining temps with a load of doug fir. The garage is void of wood so Ill have to dig out some yard wood stacks to restock this weekend. Have a good weekend guys and gals!

Cool here but not cold. 38 right now.

Brought some wood to the porch. Took down a treestand that should have been down a long time ago but surgery meant I was not going to be climbing trees for a while.

It was +6 last night and +6 this morning . doing laundry atm. Gotta go push some small drifts out of the yard. Might even see about wrasslin the snow blower out . About the only way I can get the snow out of the yard. Gotta clean out in front of my 3/4 ton Ford . get things starting to get ready for firewood season.

Low 30s here down to mid 20s over night. Looks like another round of snow Wednesday. The higher sun angle is good to keep the melting going during the day, and great for making mud.

Red maple and willow doing it up today and tonight. Slam the willow all you want - it was free, delivered, and burns hotter (if not necessarily longer) than icicles. :)

They do all the planting in the southeast. There tons of crews of them that traces the south during planting season planting trees. Almost all of them are those visa workers 5-0 some thing letter?

Sorry that's not PC of me. There not all mexicans. Some are Hondurans, Guatemalan's etc. Some are resident aliens as well, some young ones are actually citizens as well.

I'm not to big on Mexican planting crews. I never had a planting contract but I know a lot of guys that did. Not that I'm opposed to Mexican guys working . But I am very opposed to hiring illegal immigrants ! There are still plenty of citizens that are looking for work.

Haha, read my follow up post!! Pretty much all these crews are legal. At least all the crews run by reputable companies.

I gotta leave that one be. I had a Mexican tree thinning crew working with me for a short period of time. Their work was fine. But they weren't Americans and didn't really want to be. Kind of an occupying force. They like their culture so much, they should stay where their culture is. Any one of them that has been here more than 3 months and isn't fluent in American ought to get deported ! I don't need to habla. They do. If people would choose to buy and spend American, we wouldn't have this immigration problem!!
