    Well, a back dive actually.
Took a couple steps off the porch and in the blink of an eye, I was flat on my back and darn near out of breath.
Hit square between my shoulder blades, then my head hit.
This was yesterday, and my whole torso and neck are sore.
Nothing broken, except maybe a bit of my pride. What's the saying..."pride goeth before a fall".
This wasn't meant as a whine....merely a reminder to please be careful during this time of year when the snow melts, then refreezes.
Feel free to yell at me now, Dennis.:)

Happens to the best of us. Even when ya expect it, your feet can zip out from under you for no reason. Glad for no damage, Dave.

Like I said, just really sore torso...front and back.
    Slight headache.
I'd been out to the shed, the shop, the trash bin, the mail box, and took the dogs out a couple times while getting firewood prior.
Must have gotten a little case of apathy, and it bit me.:wacky:
Think I'll just stay in and play with the 30 for the day.:fire:

Took an Advil earlier to take the edge off, and that's about all it did. No beer.
We got a couple inches snow last night before bed. It's been trying to snow all morning, but not much has come of it.
Accuweather says it's 23, but my thermo says about 32°.
    Gonna' get chilly tonite.
At least whatever you get shouldn't last long.

I'm sorry Dave, but I laughed when I read your opening line. I know it's not funny but it just caught me the right way.
I hope you feel better soon. :)

I'm very curious if there'll be much difference between Betas and production stoves.
Do you have a thread about a design or anything?

Well, you may be in for a treat, I will have my 22 y.o. helping me on the delivery and install (he just doesn't know it yet)
I'll shoot and post it when it happens for sure.
I have my wife designing the plates so I will start a thread when I know more.
Too busy with prepping wood for the summer right now, not much else matters.
and TY again for the back flip 2 1/2 sommersault with a wave to the crowd at landing.
    I give it a "10"
    :)

The wave was the easy part.
I'm pretty sure it was an involuntary thing.
    Then....I hit the ground.

Got one of those heated massager things on my back right now.
The aches got worse as the day progressed.
I'll be fine by a week from Tues.
Presuming, of course, that I don't fall again.

Comic relief! Two years ago, I snuck out to the garage dressed only in my boxer shorts and T shirt and a pair of slip ons. I was going to the garage to get some pellets that I was too lazy to remember to do earlier. I was going down the ramp to the patio when the next thing I knew I was flat on my back and my head hurt like hell. I was soaking wet. Laying there half dresses with a concussion. My head hurt for several days. The bruises looked like some best my back and I lost.
I feel your pain. Hell of a way to learn to be more careful.
This year I fell three times, twice off stairs and once on an icy porch. Now can't move without severe pain. MRI next Friday. Wish you a speedy recovery. Oh yes, I have a sand salt bucket by the door. I toss some down before I step out.

Didn't know you'd tested gravity again Larry. Sorry to hear that. Hope you can get some relief. Get better.

My Jan flop gave me 6 weeks to think about how stupid I was… and now… I've got that whole "stupid thing" all figgered out… now, all I've got to do is figger out how to stop being stupid… :headbang::whistle:

That sucks hope all is well this morning. I hate when my feet go above my head in any kind of quick jerking motion.
