it was a little muddy but I managed to cut a few small trees. Got a mixed bag of cherry, momosa( for kindling) and some persimmon. That stuff burns Really hot
Did a little bit of reading on this tree. Says it grows really fast and often translates to straight grained wood, easy to split, and burns quickly when dry. I’m gathering its in that area with cottonwood and cedar that makes good kindling for ease of processing. They are often 2/3 water when fresh. So that makes it a good giveaway for quick burning if you split something that weighed “UFF!” In the beginning to nothing when waiting a year.
