It hit 55 here in Wisconsin today so I hit the woods. I sell about 9 cords of firewood each year. I got about 6 cords ready for my customers stacked in the shed:

While looking for shed deer antlers the other day in my mother in laws woods I found 3 red oaks on the ground. Today I attacked two of em:

One small hickory and one small red elm were damaged when the oaks came down so I cut them up also.
Now I have to wait til next week to trailer the loads out. I have to go through the neighbors corn field and I don't want to rip it up. Spose to be in the teens for a couple nights next week so I will grab the rounds then. And cut the third oak up.

Being retired is kinda nice. I got the time to make wood and make a little cash on the side!

Nice looking work ole . I'll admit to being a bit jealous. Not retired yet, so stuck inside in this beautiful weather. Good looking stacks.

It is when "T" posts are used to hold up the end of stacks of firewood.

All the bucks I've seen recently all have their horns yet. I'm just a little east and north of you.

Neatest stacks I’ve seen in such a square shape........nice job. I can’t even keep lengths consistent to save my life. Oh and yooperdave knows I’m a T poster. Full admission here.

I just know they could be better. Wood isnt perfect. But I think I realize that I had more volumes of wood than I could handled. So I didn’t take my time.

Thick.Ones I use (i think they are 6 feet. Dont get the thin garden ones for light duty, they bend and don’t hold well

Try stacking on the side of a hill with cribbed ends. That is when T-posts work good.
