Well, in retrospect; I guess I have not exactly heard the end of the little red dress, nor running over a few chainsaws with bulldozers, skidders and excavators. Like most people don't do those few things...

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........................doesn't everyone know, red is the new black?

I suppose somewhere, some bulldozer operator is a cross-dresser; kind of like Alice Cooper's song "The Saga of Jessie Jane" where some trucker dresses like Caitlyn Jenner. But NOT this guy!!!

I'm in jail in a Texas town
    In my sisters wedding gown
I drive a truck all night long
    Listening to Judy Garland's song
Now I'm locked behind bars of of steel
I was just looking for a happy meal
I parked my rig, and I went inside
They've never seen such a pretty bride

    Jesse Jane,
    Are you insane
Or are you just a noble guy
    Who dresses like a butterfly
    Jesse Jane

I payed my bill and I turned around
Facing every redneck in that one horse town
His face was red, His fist was clenched
He threw his coke, and he got me drenched

    Jesse Jane,
    Are you insane
Or are you just an average Joe, looking for a fashion show
    Jesse Jane

Well I guess that was the final straw
I pulled a pistol from my wonder bra
I killed 'em dead heh, I killed 'em all
But then they caught me in the bathroom stall
And Now I'm doing ten to life
But I'll tell you one thing bubba
Someday Im gonna someone in here, a hell of a wife

    Jesse Jane
    Are You Insane
Or are you just an average guy who dresses like a butterfly
    Jesse Jane

    Jesse Jane
    Are you insane
Or are you just a peter pan looking for his neverland
    Jesse Jane

Well then, it seem's like you'll just need to go out & burry the truck up to the axles in some of that mud, I'm waiting for some action pics :D.

Not yet, been dealing with log deliveries & wet ground in my cutting area. Going out of town this weekend, so it'll be a bit yet.

I am with you on that one amateur cutter because there is nothing worse then cutting mud-soaked logs! It is the definition of frustration, and crazy!

    No problem.
I'm glad it's pretty dry here already, but we're up on top of the river valley and in sand. Those folks down in the bottom will be waiting a long time for things to dry out.
    Great place for semi chisel.
You probably know this, but illI say it for those who don't.
Always throw the dirt off the log/ don't pull it thru the cut. Bore cuts help a lot when there is mud on the top; drop in below the mud, bore thru, then cut up from there throwing all the mud/bark off the top as you come thru.

I found it is best not to have dirty or mud covered logs, but if unavoidable, it is always best to cut while the mud is wet. Dried mud is terrible upon a chain.

I am not above carrying a wire brush in my pocket too, scraping off as much mud as possible, then scrubbing the area I am about to saw with my wire brush. It takes time, but so does filing a chain every 5 minutes.

The worst thing is, a dull chain transfers heat to the bar, which transfers heat to the lower part of the sawhead and can seize a crankshaft. A lot of people makes claims about the longevity of chainsaws based on make and model, but teh reality is, a sharp saw will last a very long time. My old 046 Stihl cut wood for 22 years, but it was always super-sharp too.
